A very close game took place in Manisa between Manisa and Kirklareli. Thirteenth ranked Manisa (7-14) got a very close home victory over 4th placed Kirklareli (13-8). Manisa managed to escape with a 3-point win 91-88 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Manisa looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American center Tearra Banks (188-1995, college: Austin Peay) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds for the winners and Pelin Kuccuk (172-1990) chipped in 21 points and 6 assists. Manisa's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American guard Aliyah Mazyck (175-1996, college: USC) with 40 points (!!!) and 4 steals and Irem Tulgar (-1990) scored 7 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Manisa moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Diba Ankara. Kirklareli at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Elazig Il. Manisa will meet league's second-placed Fenerbahce G. in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kirklareli will have a break next round.
