There was a minor upset in Istanbul where higher ranked Urla (6-14) was defeated by fifteenth ranked Emlak 2 (6-14) 72-55 on Sunday. Point guard Ceren Akpinar (175-2005) stepped up and scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and point guard Berfin Sertoglu (171-2004) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Emlak 2 players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American center Sharon Houston (191-1988, college: IU Northwest) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Revaziye Donmez (-1988) scored 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Emlak 2 moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Urla and Yalova Vip. Emlak 2 will meet higher ranked Antalya (#10) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Urla will play against Botas GA where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
