There was an upset when higher ranked Antalya Gelism (6-10) lost at home to tenth ranked Manisa Izmir (4-12) 78-68 on Sunday. Manisa Izmir made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. The winners were led by Kerem Soyucayli (-2006) who scored that evening 17 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Mert Oren (-2006) supported him with 21 points and 5 steals. Four Manisa Izmir players scored in double figures. Even 21 points by Tarkan Tunga (-2005) did not help to save the game for Antalya Gelism. Yunus Nur (-2003) added 16 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Manisa Izmir moved-up to ninth place. Loser Antalya Gelism keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. They share it with Tesvikiye and Buyukcekmece. Manisa Izmir will meet Bahcesehir (#10) in the next round. Antalya Gelism will play against Galatasaray (#3) in Istanbul and hope to secure a win.
