No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Agronomia (3-11) beat bottom-ranked Targoviste (1-13) in Bucurest 70-63. It looked good early as Targoviste took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Agronomia had a 16-11 second period charge getting the lead and Targoviste was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 63-70. Point guard Mihaela Panait (169-2005) stepped up and scored 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and the former international forward Anca Sipos (185-1985) chipped in 18 points and 11 rebounds. Swingman Ana Ivan (174-2004) responded with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international guard Ancuta Stoenescu (175-1980) scored 16 points and 5 assists. Agronomia maintains ninth place with 3-11 record. Targoviste lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Agronomia will play against higher ranked Cluj Napoca (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
