Second Stage Round 3: Kretinga - Neptunas-Akv. 85-77

Rather expected game when Neptunas-Akv. (5-23) lost on the road to Kretinga (11-18) 85-77 on Thursday. Kretinga made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for guard Martynas Mazeika (193-1985, agency: Interperformances) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Raidas Nacius (197-1991) accounted for 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Center Oskaras Pleikys (202-2001, agency: BIG) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Gediminas Lesciauskas (197-2001) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Neptunas-Akv. in the defeat. Four Kretinga and five Neptunas-Akv. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kretinga will meet Stekas (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Neptunas-Akv. will play against Delikatesas (#9) and hope to secure a win.
