Rather expected game in Bursa where 7th ranked Buyukcekmece (6-11) was defeated by fourth ranked Tofas (12-5) 90-82 on Friday. Tofas looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Evren Demirci (203-2005) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Cem Kucukozkan (193-2005) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Tofas' coach Cem Akdag used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ege Akbay (-2005) produced 21 points and 6 rebounds and guard Can Kurt (180-2003) added 9 points and 16 assists respectively for the guests. Four Buyukcekmece players scored in double figures. Tofas moved-up to second place, which they share with Darussafaka. Loser Buyukcekmece keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Tesvikiye and Aliaga Petkim. Tofas will meet Manisa Izmir (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Buyukcekmece will play against TED Ankara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
