Leader Tarsus delivered the twenty first victory on Friday night. This time they crushed 14th ranked Diba Ankara (8-15) 83-53. Tarsus dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Diba Ankara's 36. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Diba Ankara's players. Nihal Yildirim (-1990) scored 24 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American center Sasha Goodlett (195-1990, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Tarsus players scored in double figures. Tarsus' coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Melis Ucar (178-1996, college: Liberty) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and Beril Arik (-1994) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Tarsus (21-2) have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Newly promoted Diba Ankara dropped to the eleventh place with 15 games lost. Tarsus will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Diba Ankara will play against Manisa (#14) and hope to secure a win.
