An interesting game for Sf.Gheorghe (15-0) which hosted in Sfantu Gheorghe 4th placed Rapid (9-5). Leader Sf.Gheorghe had an easy win 105-67. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Rapid. The game without a history. Sf.Gheorghe led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American center Rodjanae Wade (188-1998, college: UNLV) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds and the former international guard Florina Stanici-Diaconu (170-1982) scored 17 points. The victory was the fifteenth consecutive win for Sf.Gheorghe. Defending champion maintains first place with 15-0 record. Rapid at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Brasov. Sf.Gheorghe will play against Constanta (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Rapid will play against the league's second-placed Arad and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
