An interesting game took place in Bursa where higher ranked Final Spor (12-6) was upset on its own court by fifteenth ranked Bornova (4-14) 92-78 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Final Spor. Bornova looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Inanc Hotamis (203-2001) who scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Troy Franklin (183-1989, college: Coppin St.) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Talat Alp Altunbey (204-1994) who recorded 19 points and 9 rebounds and American LaceDarius Dunn (193-1987, college: Baylor) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Five Bornova and four Final Spor players scored in double figures. Final Spor's coach Berat Gok rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bornova moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Gemlik. Loser Final Spor keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Bornova will meet at home higher ranked Samsunspor (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Final Spor will play against Fenerbahce 2 in Istanbul and hope to secure a win.
