There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Tofas (7-11) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Manisa (7-11) 82-76 on Saturday. Bosnian-American guard John Roberson (180-1988, college: Texas Tech) scored 23 points to lead the charge for the winners and Nigerian-American power forward OD Anosike (203-1991, college: Siena) chipped in 11 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Manisa players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Senegalese center Boubacar Toure (213-1995, college: EMU) with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and American guard Rob Gray (186-1994, college: Houston) scored 18 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Manisa have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Tofas. Manisa will meet league's leader Fenerbahce in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Tofas will play against Pinar Karsiyaka (#3) and hope to secure a win.
