There was no surprise in Istanbul where 4th placed Pinar Karsiyaka (9-8) was defeated by leader Anadolu Efes (17-0) 84-67 on Saturday. Anadolu Efes looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was center Emre Tunca (207-1991) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Forward Karahan Efeoglu (203-2004) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Five Anadolu Efes players scored in double figures. Huseyin Sevig (-2005) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and Egemen Yapici (-2004) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Anadolu Efes have an impressive series of seventeen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-0 record. Loser Pinar Karsiyaka keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. They share it with Bursaspor.
