Regular Season Round 18: Speyer - SC Wizards 94-70

Very expected game when 11th ranked Arvato College Wizards (5-11) were smashed on the road by seventh ranked Speyer (8-9) 94-70 on Saturday. Speyer dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Arvato College Wizards' 28. Speyer had a 36-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Croatian-Canadian guard Jake Babic (196-1995, college: TAMUCC) notched a triple-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists to lead the effort and American Quadre Lollis Jr (196-1994, college: Presentation) supported him with 18 points. Five Speyer players scored in double figures. Even 10 points and 8 rebounds by Christoph Rupp (195-1994) did not help to save the game for Arvato College Wizards. Swedish forward Karl Drammeh (203-1999, college: E.Wyoming) added 10 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Speyer maintains seventh position with 8-9 record, which they share with Iserlohn. Loser Arvato College Wizards dropped to the tenth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with OrangeAcad.. Speyer will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Arvato College Wizards will play against Ludwigsburg (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
