There was a minor upset in Denizl where 6th ranked Merkezefendi (7-10) was edged by ninth ranked Petkim Spor (6-11) 83-82 on Saturday. Petkim Spor outrebounded Merkezefendi 51-40 including 39 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Murat Tor (-2003) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds. Yigit Kaba (-2006) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Atahan Altiok (198-2004) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and Ataberk Aksu (-2004) added 21 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Merkezefendi players scored in double figures. Merkezefendi's coach Servet Ozsuner rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Petkim Spor moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Tesvikiye and Buyukcekmece. Loser Merkezefendi keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. They share it with Antalya. Petkim Spor will meet Tesvikiye (#9) on the road in the next round. Merkezefendi will play against Selcuklu and hope to secure a win.
