Regular Season Round 15: KOS - Lions 69-68

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Lions' (7-7) road loss to eighth ranked KOS (9-6) 68-69 on Saturday. Lions trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 24-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 68-69 at the end of the game. KOS forced 25 Lions turnovers. Strangely Lions outrebounded KOS 40-25 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Slovenian point guard Grega Sajevic (187-1996) who scored 32 points. Guard Timi Huber (179-1992) chipped in 17 points. KOS's coach Rok Heiligstein used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Bulgarian Filip Kamenov (200-1995) who recorded 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Felix Erath (182-2004) added 20 points respectively. KOS moved-up to sixth place, which they share with UDW Alligators. Loser Lions keep the ninth position with seven games lost. KOS will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Lions will play against BBU (#3) and hope to secure a win.
