Sixth-ranked Dacka (8-10) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Efes (13-5) in Istanbul. The visitors managed to secure only three-point victory 83-80. However their fans expected easier game. Strangely Dacka outrebounded Efes 42-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. Dacka was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American forward Will Clyburn (201-1990, college: Iowa St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. French Rodrigue Beaubois (190-1988, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Efes players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Dogus Ozdemiroglu (191-1996) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals and the former international power forward Ercan Osmani (206-1998) added 31 points (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field) in the effort for Dacka. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Efes have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Pinar Karsiyaka. Dacka lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with ten games lost. They share it with Bahcesehir and Merkezefendi. Efes will play against Bursaspor (#5) at home in the next round. Dacka will play against Socar Petkim and hopes to get back on the winning track.
