Regular Season Round 15: Future Team - Mustangs 84-82

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Mustangs (10-4) against fourteenth ranked Future Team (2-13) on Sunday night. Visiting Mustangs were edged by Future Team in a tough game in Steiermark 82-84. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Mustangs won fourth quarter 25-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for guard Miro Zapf (189-2003) who led the winners and scored 32 points and 4 assists. The former international forward David Voetsch (199-2001) accounted for 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Czech center Zdenek Nehyba (197-1995) came up with 24 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Czech center Viktor Vasat (207-1997) added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Mustangs in the defeat. Mustangs' coach Martin Weissenboeck tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Future Team moved-up to thirteenth place. Mustangs at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Future Team will play against higher ranked Towers (#11) in Kufstein in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mustangs will have a break next round.
