The game in Silute was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Mazeikiai (19-11) played at the court of 6th ranked Silute (14-17). Mazeikiai did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 83-64 on Thursday. Karolis Guscikas (206-1992, agency: BIG) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and the former international Simas Jasaitis (201-1982) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Four Mazeikiai players scored in double figures. Mazeikiai's coach Osvaldas Kurauskas used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Canadian guard Jalen Warren (188-1999, college: UIC) responded with 24 points and 6 assists and point guard Deividas Anuzis (185-1992) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Mazeikiai have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. Silute lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 17 games lost. Mazeikiai will meet at home league's leader Suduva-Mantinga in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Silute will play against the league's second-placed Telsiai (#2) and hope to secure a win.
