The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Delikatesas' (13-18) road loss to eighth ranked Stekas (14-16) 67-89 on Thursday. Stekas forced 26 Delikatesas turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Delikatesas' players. Justas Sukelis (193-1997) stepped up and scored 21 points for the winners and point guard Augustas Suliauskas (180-1995, agency: Players Group) chipped in 18 points. American center Corey Boyd (206-1998) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and center Povilas Gaidys (206-1991, college: Southeastern) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Stekas. Newly promoted Stekas maintains eighth place with 14-16 record. Loser Delikatesas keeps the ninth position with 18 games lost. Stekas will meet Vilkaviskis (#13) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Delikatesas will play against Kretinga (#12) and hope to secure a win.
