Regular Season Round 19: BSW Sixers - TKS 49ers 82-92

Leading Sixers (14-3) recorded its third loss in Sandersdorf. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked TKS 49ers (9-8) 92-82. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Sixers. Sixers were plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for Ukrainian point guard Andriy Kozhemiakin (190-1996, agency: BIG) who led the winners and scored 29 points and 7 rebounds. Max Stoelzel (197-2000) accounted for 10 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Serbian point guard Aleksa Kovacevic (187-2002) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 assists and Marco Rahn (199-1998) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Sixers in the defeat. Four TKS 49ers and five Sixers players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. TKS 49ers moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Frankfurt Jrs. Sixers at the other side dropped to the second position with three games lost. TKS 49ers will play against Giessen Pointers (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sixers will play against Dragons Rhoendorf (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
