The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Mustangs' (11-4) home victory over 5th ranked United (10-6) 97-69 on Saturday. The game without a history. Mustangs led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Mustangs forced 24 United turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Czech center Michal Norwa (198-1983) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and Czech center Zdenek Nehyba (197-1995) who added 21 points during the contest. Five Mustangs players scored in double figures. At the losing side Spanish forward Alejandro Zapero (-1996) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and guard Obinna Ndukwe (183-2003) scored 19 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mustangs moved-up to third place. Newly promoted United keeps the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with KOS. Mustangs will meet Flames (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. United will play against Blackbirds (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
