Rather expected game when 18th ranked Bayreuth (3-15) was defeated on the road by fifteenth ranked Hamburg Towers (7-13) 86-74 on Saturday. Hamburg Towers forced 19 Bayreuth turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovenian point guard Ziga Samar (197-2001) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 assists and 5 steals and American James Woodard (191-1994, college: Tulsa) who added 23 points during the contest. Five Hamburg Towers players scored in double figures. Canadian Jackson Rowe (201-1997, college: CS Fullerton) responded with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American Ahmed Hill (196-1995, college: Virginia Tech) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Bayreuth's coach Lars Masell rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hamburg Towers moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Heidelberg. Bayreuth lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost.
