Regular Season Round 16: UDW Alligators - Rocks 74-84

We should mention about the upset which took place in Deutsch-Wagram, where 6th ranked Alligators (9-7) lost at home to ninth ranked Rocks (8-8) 74-84 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Rocks. Alligators managed to win third quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of French Joris Ortega (188-1993, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 5 assists and Canadian center Corey Hallett (210-1984, college: Monmouth) who added 17 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Bosnian swingman Stojan Radanovic (198-1994) responded with 23 points and 8 rebounds and guard Simon Marek (180-2001) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Alligators' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Rocks have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain ninth position with 8-8 record. Loser Alligators dropped to the seventh place with seven games lost. They share the position with Piraten. Rocks will meet at home bottom-ranked Ballers (#14) in the next round where they are favorite. Alligators will play against Future Team (#13) in Steiermark and hope to secure a win.
