Very expected game when 18th ranked Schwenningen (5-16) was rolled over at home by eighth ranked Lions (11-10) 94-66 on Saturday. Lions outrebounded Schwenningen 50-33 including a 36-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Center Maurice Pluskota (209-1992, agency: Octagon Europe) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Croatian power forward Darko Bajo (205-1999, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American swingman Devonte McCall (198-1998, college: Post) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Casey Benson (191-1995, college: GCU) scored 10 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lions moved-up to seventh place. Loser Schwenningen stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Lions will meet at home higher ranked Titans (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Schwenningen will play against Artland Dragons (#3) and hope to secure a win.
