Regular Season Round 21: Vienna - Timberwolves 85-65

Leader BC Vienna delivered the eighteenth win on Sunday night. This time they crushed 12th ranked Timberwolves (4-17) 85-65. The hosts trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 50-23 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. BC Vienna outrebounded Timberwolves 44-26 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Montenegrin Nemanja Milosevic (204-1987, college: WKU, agency: Interperformances) who scored 8 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Enis Murati (194-1988, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 21 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Chris Vogt (213-1999, college: Wisconsin) who recorded 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Elias Wlasak (190-2000) added 17 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BC Vienna (18-2) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place. Timberwolves lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. BC Vienna are looking forward to face Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Timberwolves will play against UBC St. Poelten (#5) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
