Regular Season Round 19: Nevezis - Jonava 91-83

Another interesting game for Nevezis (9-10) which hosted in Kedainiai against 5th ranked Jonava (11-8). Eighth ranked Nevezis won 91-83. Jonava was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American forward Deshawn Freeman (201-1994, college: Rutgers, agency: One Motive Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 7 rebounds. Latvian guard Arturs Zagars (190-2000) helped adding 22 points. At the losing side American forward Jeff Garrett (201-1994, college: LSUS, agency: Players Group) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import point guard Glynn Watson Jr (185-1997, college: Nebraska) scored 18 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Nevezis maintains eighth place with 9-10 record. Jonava at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Lietkabelis. Nevezis will play against higher ranked Lietkabelis (#5) in Panevezys in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jonava will play at home against Prienai and hopes to get back on the winning track.
