Regular Season Round 21: Holbaek - Naestved 66-108

Very expected game when 11th ranked Holbaek (2-17) was rolled over at home by third ranked Naestved (15-4) 108-66 on Sunday. Naestved dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Holbaek's 38. Naestved forced 22 Holbaek turnovers. American guard Mike McGuirl (189-1998, college: Kansas St.) stepped up and scored 27 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals for the winners and his fellow American import guard Rodney Chatman (189-1998, college: Vanderbilt) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward Eysan Wiley (195-1999, college: UT Tyler) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and Gustav Winther (207-2004) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Naestved moved-up to second place, which they share with Bakken. Holbaek lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. Naestved will meet Amager (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Holbaek will play against Vaerlose and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
