Regular Season Round 20: Lietkabelis - Nevezis 111-108

The most exciting game of round 20 in the LKL took place in Panevezys. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked Nevezis (9-11) to fifth ranked Lietkabelis (12-8) 111-108 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Nevezis. Lietkabelis made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Estonian point guard Kristian Kullamaee (194-1999) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 assists and American guard Jamel Morris (193-1992, college: Fairmont St.) who added 26 points during the contest. Danielius Lavrinovicius (205-1999) responded with 26 points and American guard Brad Davison (193-1999, college: Wisconsin) scored 20 points and 5 assists. Four Lietkabelis and five Nevezis players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Lietkabelis maintains fifth position with 12-8 record. Nevezis at the other side keeps the eighth place with 11 games lost. Lietkabelis are looking forward to face Gargzdu (#11) in Gargzdai in the next round where they are favorite. Nevezis will play at home against the league's leader Zalgiris and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
