Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Targu Secuiesc (8-7) smashed at home 8th ranked Targu Mures (4-12) 80-55 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Targu Secuiesc led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Targu Mures' players. The best player for the winners was forward Iringo Debreczi (183-1996) who scored 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). American center Brianna Wilson (193-1991, college: UMass Lowell) chipped in 9 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Keilanei Cooper (175, college: UC Riverside, agency: DC Sports) who recorded 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and her fellow American import swingman Tazsa Garrett-Hammett (180, college: UWA) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Targu Mures' coach already knew that her team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Targu Secuiesc maintains sixth position with 8-7 record. Newly promoted Targu Mures keep the eighth place with 12 games lost. Targu Secuiesc will meet league's leader Sf.Gheorghe in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Targu Mures will play against Cluj Napoca (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
