Regular Season Round 21: Langen - Lich Basketball 88-70

Everything went according to plan when third ranked TV Langen (17-5) won against at home 6th ranked Licher Basket (11-10) 88-70 on Saturday. They outrebounded Licher Basket 35-21 including 26 on the defensive glass. Niklas Pons (192-1999) stepped up and scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Risto Vasiljevic (195-2001) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Five TV Langen players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Yannik Ribbecke (197-1997) with 19 points and the former international Johannes Lischka (203-1987) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. TV Langen maintains third place with 17-5 record having just two point less than leader Saarlouis. Newly promoted Licher Basket dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. TV Langen will meet Reutlingen (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Licher Basket will play against Kronberg and hope to secure a win.
