Moteru Lyga top team - Alytaus (14-2) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat seventh ranked Kauno-LSMU (8-6) 73-62. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Kauno-LSMU. Worth to mention a quality performance of forward Justina Leskauskaite (178-2002) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and Kristina Masionyte (180-2000) who added 20 points during the contest. Alytaus' coach Kristina Griziene used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side swingman Aiste Svegzdaite (178-2002) responded with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Goda Vasurenkaite (176-1998) scored 20 points. Alytaus maintains first position with 14-2 record. Kauno-LSMU at the other side keeps the seventh place with six games lost. Alytaus will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kauno-LSMU will play at home against the league's second-placed Kibirkstis-VKM (#2) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
