Regular Season Round 21: Neustadt TSV - Rendsburg 108-67

Very expected game when 8th ranked Rendsburg (7-11) was rolled over on the road by second ranked Neustadt TSV (16-3) 108-67 on Saturday. Neustadt TSV dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Rendsburg's 32. Neustadt TSV forced 24 Rendsburg turnovers and outrebounded them 41-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Rendsburg's players. Croatian Matej Jelovcic (185-1998) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 assists and 5 steals for the winners and Jannik Lodders (198-1992) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Neustadt TSV players scored in double figures. Neustadt TSV's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was forward Henning Rixen (196-1999) with 21 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Ali Thiam (184-2001) scored 14 points. Neustadt TSV maintains second place with 16-3 record behind leader Saarlouis. Rendsburg at the other side keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost.
