Regular Season Round 23: Vechta - Nuernberg 89-80

ProA top team - Rasta Vechta (20-3) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat eighth ranked Falcons (11-12) 89-80. They outrebounded Falcons 33-22 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Rasta Vechta looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American players dominated the game. Tajuan Agee (201-1997, college: Iona) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Guard Ryan Schwieger (198-1999, college: Loyola, IL) contributed with 19 points and 5 assists for the winners. Rasta Vechta's coach Ty Harrelson used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Thomas Wilder (190-1995, college: W.Michigan) answered with 14 points and forward Rocky Kreuser (206-1999, college: NDSU) added 17 points in the effort for Falcons. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rasta Vechta maintains first place with 20-3 record. Falcons lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Rasta Vechta are looking forward to face Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
