An exciting game was played in Montana. Top-ranked Beroe faced second-best Montana. Guests from Stara Zagora (4-0) smashed host Montana (3-2) 79-47. Beroe forced 33 Montana turnovers. It was a good game for American forward Ciara Rosten (188-1996, college: Edinboro) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. International swingman Teodora Dineva (178-1996) contributed with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Rosten is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Beroe players scored in double figures. American Shereen Sutherland (188-1994, college: UC Irvine) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and international center Aleksandra Nikolaeva Petrova (190-1998) added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Montana. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Beroe have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 4-0 record, which they share with Champion 2006. Newly promoted Montana keeps the second place with two games lost. Beroe will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Montana will play at home against Rilski Sportist and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
