Regular Season Round 17: KOS - Towers 103-94

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked KOS (11-6) beat 11th ranked Towers (4-13) in Celovec 103-94 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 103-94. KOS made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Towers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Slovenian point guard Grega Sajevic (187-1996) nailed 39 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and Montenegrin-Kosovan center Andi Shehu (200-1997) accounted for 23 points and 8 rebounds. Slovenian guard Luka Bozak (185-2000) came up with a triple-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 10 assists and Croatian Karlo Lebo (196-1994) added 19 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Towers in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. KOS have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 11-6 record. Towers lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Flames. KOS will meet at home Worthersee Piraten (#8) in the next round. Towers will play against Lions in Dornbirn and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
