Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Flames (4-13) were outscored by fourth ranked Mustangs (12-4) in Vienna 91-67 on Sunday. The game without a history. Mustangs led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Flames' 28. Mustangs forced 20 Flames turnovers and outrebounded them 38-27 including 24 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Czech center Michal Norwa (198-1983) nailed a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side and Czech forward Martin Muller (194-1994) accounted for 15 points. Five Mustangs players scored in double figures. Yann Grandperret came up with 20 points and Slovenian point guard Jernej Heine (191-2000) added 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Flames in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mustangs moved-up to second place. Loser Flames keep the eleventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Towers. Mustangs will meet league's leader BBU in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Flames will play against Alligators (#6) in Deutsch-Wagram and hope to secure a win.
