Agronomia used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Craiova 82-54 on Sunday night. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-54. Agronomia dominated on the defensive end, holding Craiova 2 to just 5 points in second quarter. Agronomia's coach Virgiliu Capusan felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Iulian Corneanu (197-1989) came up with 20 points and 8 rebounds and Luca Manda (-2003) added 7 points and 6 assists respectively for Craiova 2 in the defeat. Agronomia will meet Politehnica Iasi (#7) on the road in the next round. Craiova 2 will play against Laguna and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
