Regular Season Round 18: BBU Salzburg - Mustangs 83-92

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of BBU (13-5) in Salzburg on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Mustangs (14-4) 92-83. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BBU. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Czech center Zdenek Nehyba (197-1995) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Czech guard Jan Kozina (182-1995) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Mustangs players scored in double figures. Mustangs' coach Martin Weissenboeck used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Adrian Mitchell (189-1995) with 36 points (!!!) and forward Drew Koka (196-1998) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. Mustangs have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-4 record. BBU at the other side dropped to the second place with five games lost. Mustangs are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Ballers (#14) in Wels in the next round which should be an easy win for them. BBU will play at home against KOS (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
