Regular Season Round 21: Uzhgorod - Politekhn.Lviv 58-66

Very significant was Politekhn.Lviv's (#3) 66-58 road victory against 4th placed Uzhgorod. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 23-16. But Uzhgorod won second period 20-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Politekhn.Lviv brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. Forward Dmytro Khodov (203-1987, agency: BIG) nailed 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winning side and forward Maxim Pipil (196-2004) accounted for 16 points and 6 rebounds. Politekhn.Lviv's coach Yaroslav Zubrytskyy allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Denys Koshovets (202-1990) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Maxym Vorobjov (193-1991) added 17 points respectively for Uzhgorod in the defeat. Politekhn.Lviv (8-6) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain third place having six points less than leader Krivbas 2. Uzhgorod lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourth position with seven games lost.
