Semi-Finals Game 2: Anorthosis - Anagennises 52-73

Anagennises toppled Anorthosis to complete the sweep. It looked good early as Anorthosis took a 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Anagennises had a 27-16 second period charge getting the lead and Anorthosis was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 52-73. Anagennises forced 23 Anorthosis turnovers and outrebounded them 48-34 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Anagennises players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American guard Cassidy Mihalko (180-1995, college: CBU) notched 27 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and naturalized Bulgarian power forward Styliana Velinova (192-2000) supported her with 7 points and 20 rebounds. Even a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds by center Daria Evdokimova (185-1986) did not help to save the game for Anorthosis. The former international forward Tijana Raca (182-1997, college: Wyoming) added 15 points and 5 steals for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
