Second Stage Round 5: Domzale - Triglav 48-92

Bottom-ranked Domzale is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to third ranked Triglav (4-1) 92-48. The game without a history. Triglav led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Domzale's 36. Triglav forced 31 Domzale turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Domzale's players. Forward Manca Vrecer (178-2002) stepped up and scored 18 points and 4 assists for the winners and the former international point guard Rebeka Abramovic (172-1993) chipped in 7 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Center Dora Mlakar (182-1996) responded with 13 points and 9 rebounds and Anelie Brodnik (169-2006) scored 7 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Triglav have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 4-1 record behind leader Celje. Domzale at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Triglav will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Domzale will play again on the road against Triglav (#3) in Kranj and hopes to get finally their first victory.
