Very predictable result when Cluj Napoca (10-1) won against at home Voluntari (4-7) 74-66 on Saturday. Voluntari trailed by 18 points after 3 quarters before a 24-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 66-74 at the end of the game. Cluj Napoca made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Jalen Jones (201-1993, college: Texas A&M) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Brazilian Leonardo Meindl (201-1993) accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. American forward Rasheed Moore (198-1995, college: ESU) came up with 22 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import point guard Maurice Watson (178-1993, college: Creighton) added 5 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Voluntari in the defeat. Voluntari's coach Ainars Bagatskis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cluj Napoca will meet Constanta (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Voluntari will play against Pitesti and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
