We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 10th ranked Arvato College Wizards (7-12) lost to eleventh ranked Kangaroos (7-12) in Karlsruhe 90-94 on Saturday. Kangaroos made 33-of-35 free shots (94.3 percent) during the game, while Arvato College Wizards only scored seventeen points from the stripe. American Teathloach Pal (206-1997, college: Sioux Falls) nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points, 19 rebounds and 7 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) for the winning side and Nicolas Lagerman (194-2001, college: Cardinal Stritch) accounted for 29 points. American point guard Christian Rodriguez (180-1999, college: Cornerstone) came up with 41 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Christoph Rupp (195-1994) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Arvato College Wizards in the defeat. Kangaroos moved-up to ninth place, which they share with OrangeAcad. and SC Wizards. Kangaroos will meet at home higher ranked Speyer (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Arvato College Wizards will play against Deisenhofen (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
