Not a big story in a game in Cluj Napoca where 6th ranked Cluj CSU (1-3) was defeated by fourth ranked Craiova 2 (3-2) 75-71 on Sunday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-15. But Cluj CSU won third quarter 29-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Craiova 2 won last quarter 16-13. They also forced 19 Cluj CSU turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Iulian Corneanu (197-1989) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Robert Licurici (188-2003, agency: BIG) chipped in 26 points. Center Mihnea-Tudor Brie (196-2001) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 19 rebounds and Toma Lungoci (193-2002) added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Craiova 2 moved-up to third place, which they share with Ploiesti CSU. Loser Cluj CSU keeps the sixth position with three games lost. Craiova 2 will meet at home Sibiu 2 (#5) in the next round. Cluj CSU will play against Politehnica Iasi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
