Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Kirchheim Knights and 11th ranked Falcons had identical 11-13 record. This time Kirchheim Knights used a home court advantage and outplayed the opponent from Nuernberg 93-67 on Sunday night. Kirchheim Knights looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Falcons' players. American center Tyrone Nash (203-1988, college: Notre Dame) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and his fellow American import guard Michael Flowers (185-1999, college: WSU) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Five Kirchheim Knights players scored in double figures. Kirchheim Knights' coach Igor Perovic felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Lithuanian Justinas Ramanauskas (193-2000) responded with 23 points and American forward Rocky Kreuser (206-1999, college: NDSU) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Kirchheim Knights (12-13) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Trier and Bremerhaven. Falcons lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Bochum. Kirchheim Knights will meet higher ranked Uni Baskets (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Falcons will play against Muenster (#15) and hope to secure a win.
