Regular Season Round 25: Dresden - Artland 83-73

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Artland Dragons (16-9) against fifth ranked Titans (15-10) on Sunday night. Visiting Artland Dragons were defeated by Titans in Dresden 83-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Artland Dragons. Titans players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Lucien Schmikale (194-1997) who helped to win the game recording 17 points. Center Georg Voigtmann (213-1994) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Titans players scored in double figures. American forward DeVondre Perry (196-1999, college: Albany) answered with 17 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Croatian center Marko Bacak (210-1995) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Artland Dragons. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Titans moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Hagen. Artland Dragons at the other side keep the third position with nine games lost. Titans will play against Phoenix Hagen (#4) on the road in the next round. Artland Dragons will play against Gladiators and hope to get back on the winning track.
