Second Stage Round 2: Amager - BAC 89-73

There was a minor upset in Kastrup where BAC was defeated by Amager 89-73 on Tuesday. Amager forced 19 BAC turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Forward Tomas Bjarkason (204-1999, college: Lewis) had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Mitch Pelissier (190-1997, college: Concordia, IL) chipped in 20 points and 6 assists during the contest. Pelissier is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Amager players scored in double figures. Amager's coach Lars Klussmann used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Keane Thomann (211-1989, college: MSSU) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and forward Gustav Johansen (197-2000) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Amager will meet at home Holbaek in the next round. BAC will play against Holbaek and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
