Alexandria (3-14) escaped against Agronomia (4-14) in overtime by three points 76-73 on Friday night. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Agronomia won third quarter 20-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Agronomia used huge pressure winning it 16-14 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 3-6. Alexandria forced 21 Agronomia turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Sara Hamson (201, college: BYU, agency: LBM Management) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 19 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Bulgarian forward Anna-Mariya Kolyandrova (165-1997) chipped in 18 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Mexican guard Alexis Cortez (183, college: Utah Valley) who recorded a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds and the former international forward Anca Sipos (185-1985) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists respectively. Alexandria maintains tenth place with 3-14 record. Agronomia lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
