Very important is a home loss of second ranked White Wings (17-3) against fourth ranked Coburg (12-9) on Saturday night. Host White Wings were defeated by Coburg in a tough game in Hanau 97-103. Coburg players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Spanish point guard Jose Carrasco (185-1994) notched 17 points and 9 assists to lead the effort and Croatian-Austrian center Leon Bulic (211-2001, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Coburg's coach Jessica Miller allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 23 points and 5 assists by Philip Hecker (193-2002) did not help to save the game for White Wings. Point guard Sebastian Brach (190-2002) added 12 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Coburg maintains fourth position with 12-9 record. White Wings at the other side keep the second place with three games lost. Coburg will play against Deisenhofen (#5) at home in the next round. White Wings will play against Speyer and hope to get back on the winning track.
