There was a surprise result in Diedorf where eleventh ranked Kangaroos (8-12) won against higher ranked Speyer (10-10) 98-88 on Saturday. They outrebounded Speyer 38-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. American Teathloach Pal (206-1997, college: Sioux Falls) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Lucas Mayer (185-1999) chipped in 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. American Quadre Lollis Jr (196-1994, college: Presentation) produced 26 points and 4 assists and Dejan Bruce (207-2002) added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kangaroos moved-up to ninth place. Loser Speyer dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Ehingen. Kangaroos will meet higher ranked Skyliners II (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Speyer will play against the league's second-placed White Wings (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
