There was a minor upset when 12th ranked Falcons (11-15) lost on the road to fifteenth ranked Muenster (10-16) 75-70 on Saturday. Muenster made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Muenster outrebounded Falcons 42-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. The former international center Andreas Seiferth (209-1989) notched a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Jasper Guenther (181-1999) supported him with 14 points. Muenster's coach Bjoern Harmsen used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 20 points by American point guard Thomas Wilder (190-1995, college: W.Michigan) did not help to save the game for Falcons. Center Moritz Krimmer (202-2000) added 15 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Muenster moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Jena. Falcons lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. Muenster will meet at home higher ranked 46ers (#7) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Falcons will play against the league's second-placed Tigers (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
